Full Nightly Hot Backups Full backups of our servers are performed with no interruption to service each night* to our custom built Iaso Storage Server which is capable of storing over 16TB of data, with all backup data being mirrored to separate hard drives for redundancy.In the event of a server failing we are able to roll-back the server to a previous-point in time or using disaster recovery recreate a failed server onto one of our redundant backup servers. Our backups include; All Web Server Files, SQL Server Databases, mySQL Databases, Mail Servers, Control Panel, Webmail, and Website Statistics. Full Server Backups are kept both off-site and on-site. By keeping backup data off-site it allows us to ensure that we have a full disaster recovery program, while on-site backups of data allow us to very quickly recover servers, individual files, or even roll back entire websites or databases. File and Database Recovery ServiceAs an extra optional service we are able to offer to our Hosting Client's a recovery service of their website and database data to a previous point-in-time for both changed and accidentally deleted files.Recovery of Deleted FilesOur backup services will each night backup all website related files and data. If any files have been deleted since the last backup the backup service retains the deleted files for a period of time before it is removed from our Storage Server. Clients may request deleted files to be restored. More information can be found below on how long we store deleted files for depending on the type of file and the service.Roll-Back Websites to a Previous Point-In-TimeEach night our backup service looks at each website file, if the file has been changed since the last backup our backup service will store the changed file. The service keeps the last 5 revisions (changes) to files, allowing us to restore your websites files or database to a previous point-in-time. Clients may request files or databases to be rolled back to a previous point-in-time.Email and Webmail BackupMail servers are backed up each night with emails and web mail settings being backed up, these are retained for a period of 5 days. Unfortunately due to the way our mail servers store emails we are not able to roll back individual emails if you accidentally delete them.SQL Server Database BackupFull backups of all SQL Server databases are created each night during off-peak hours with no interruption to service and are stored for 14 days on our File Storage Server. This allows us to roll-back changed or deleted SQL Server databases to a previous point-in-time, or supply these database backups to customers.mySQL Database BackupBackups are taken each night of all mySQL databases with changes to databases retained for 7 days and deleted mySQL databases stored on our Storage Server for a period of 28 days.Creating Your Own Independent BackupsAs well as our automated nightly backups of our servers we also supply clients with a range of tools for creating your own backups and restorations. We highly recommend that all clients create and keep their own regular backups of data stored on our systems.Please note: Although we do our best to insure the integrity of our data backups and redundant backup systems no backup solution is 100% infallible and we can not guarantee that data will be recoverable in the event of a data loss. Please ensure that you make your own regular backups of data stored on our systems. Virtual Servers are not included in the Full Nightly Backups. Due to the storage space required and licensing costs of backup software, Virtual Server nightly backups are available as an optional extra. |
